Generating your own electricity
Solar panels are used to capture the sun’s energy using photovoltaic (PV) cells – photo meaning light and voltaic meaning electricity: sunlight directly to electricity. The electricity generated by solar PV installations can be used to run your household appliances and lighting.
You can cut your electricity bills, get paid for the electricity you generate using the Government’s Feed-In Tariff Scheme, sell your electricity back to the national grid, and reduce your carbon footprint because solar electricity is green and renewable.
